𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑇𝑤𝑜…

First and foremost, I want to thank the co-creators of the archive central to my PhD, my sisters and dear friends: Mimi, Gillianne, Rowrow, Tammara, Nunjul, Tricia, Dayannah and Rinda, as well as our friends and families, who have contributed to and supported this work for the past two decades. There are no words to fully express my love and appreciation for you all!

You each have challenged me think differently about what an archive can do and be. Not as property, but as a relational space, for memory, for dialogue, for refusal.

To my supervisors, Kelly Hussey-Smith, Marnie Badham and Torika Bolatagici, thank you for believing in me and this research, especially when the journey felt impossible. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Carlie Atkinson and Debbie Kilroy for the critical roles you have played in shaping this research as external advisors.

To Tammara’s family, especially Chenai & Penney, who supported me through my grief and Tammara’s inclusion in this research, even after her passing…thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And to everyone who supported me throughout my PhD (there’s just too many of you to tag), through conversations, encouragement, critical insights, or quiet acts of care…thank you! Whether named here or not, this was a collective effort, made possible by the love, knowledge, and support of many hands, minds, and hearts.

I could not have done it alone.

With love always,
Dr Rosella
