Had a wonderful trip along the Oregon coast line. Astoria to Newport, Oregon. Beautiful drive and gorgeous scenery.

McDonald’s floors have become an unexpected internet reference because of the reddish-brown tiles commonly found in older restaurant locations. For years, many McDonald’s interiors featured durable ceramic or quarry-style tiles designed to withstand heavy foot traffic, spills, grease, and constant cleaning. Their distinctive color and rectangular patterns made them instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up visiting the fast-food chain. Over time, McDonald’s began replacing many of its older restaurant designs with modern interiors featuring neutral colors, updated furniture, and different flooring materials. However, those classic reddish tiles are still associated with the restaurant’s older aesthetic, leading people online to compare similar flooring in homes, kitchens, and living rooms to McDonald’s. #McDonalds #InteriorDesign #Nostalgia
👉 My work featured in the @newyorkermag for the very first time! In the latest issue, you’ll find my 10 illustrated pictograms (I call SIGNOPICS) on the topic of the US 🇺🇸 Midterm Elections. I’ll be sharing each of them in the upcoming posts. Can’t wait to hold the printed copy in my hands! Art Direction: @nblechman – thank you! #signopic #thenewyorker #patrykhardziej #hardziejstudio #illustration
When you think about it, it actually makes sense. Mark Tilbury breaks down how a $100 game can actually save you money. Play it for 200 hours, and you’re spending just 50 cents per hour. If you stay home gaming instead of going out and spending $100 a night, you could save nearly $5,000 over 50 nights. Of course, that only works if you were planning to go out in the first place.
I’ve been getting so many DMs asking about this top! It’s a custom-made, hand-painted kalamkari silk top by @worldoftaarabai During my last visit to Rishikesh, I got to see up close the magic they create on their clothes, and I was so inspired and tried doing a saree by myself. So, this time when I reached out to Swagatha @singerswagatha with the idea, she was kind enough to make it happen. And here it is! I’m so happy to see it getting all this love. @worldoftaarabai you really should make more pieces like this!
