Dr. Adam Hamawy went to Gaza to save lives and got trapped behind a closed border. Now he’s headed to Congress. The surgeon who treated wounded children under bombardment, saved Sen. Tammy Duckworth’s life in Iraq, and refused to leave Gaza until his colleagues had safe passage. He just won the NJ-12 Democratic primary. He didn’t ask for permission. He just went.
