Most people think loyalty starts with other people, it doesn’t. It starts with the promises you make to yourself. The standards you keep , the habits you repeat, the things you refuse to tolerate. The hardest person to stay loyal to is yourself.

1️⃣ Slice of Life pizza. From a small Irish business, with a base that’s 40% cauliflower and carrot, and 42g of protein per pizza.
2️⃣ All butter shortbread. Just flour, butter, sugar and salt. No palm oil like you find in many other standard biscuits today, and only 2g of sugar per shortbread.
3️⃣ Tomato lentils. Handy for lunch or as a side at dinner, with no artificial additives and great ingredients! Just decant them into a glass bowl before heating or just heat on the hob!
4️⃣ Irish apples. Seek out the Irish ones amongst all the imported apples and support our local growers.

James Thomas has been running the New York City Marathon since 1980, and tonight he completed his 43rd. After crossing the finish line as the last man in the race, he told me this would be his final marathon. His mind still wants to keep going, but his body can no longer do it.

British adventurer Karl Bushby has finally returned home after spending 28 years attempting one of the most extraordinary journeys in modern exploration. In 1998, he set off from Punta Arenas, Chile, determined to walk an unbroken route back to his hometown of Hull, England. His expedition, known as the Goliath Expedition, took him across continents, through remote wilderness and some of the most challenging environments on Earth.

Along the way, Bushby crossed the notorious Darién Gap between Colombia and Panama, traversed vast stretches of the Americas and crossed the frozen Bering Strait from Alaska into Russia. His journey was interrupted by visa complications, political restrictions and the COVID pandemic, but he remained committed to reaching home without using motorised transport to advance his route.

On November 2, 2026, Bushby was reunited with his mother in the UK, bringing an emotional conclusion to a journey spanning approximately 31,000 miles. What began as an ambitious adventure when he was 29 years old became a remarkable story of endurance, determination and perseverance, proving just how far one person can go when they refuse to give up. 🌍🚶❤
