November is Epilepsy Awareness Month ๐Ÿ’œ Iโ€™ve gone back and forth about sharing this because, for a long time, epilepsy was just a part of my life that I kept pretty private. There are so many parts of someoneโ€™s story that you canโ€™t see just by looking at them. The fears theyโ€™ve carried, the things theyโ€™ve had to learn to live with, the moments that have changed them, and the strength theyโ€™ve had to find along the way. Epilepsy is one of those parts of my story. It has taught me that strength doesnโ€™t always look like being fearless. Sometimes strength is learning how to live fully even when there are things you canโ€™t control. Itโ€™s choosing to keep dreaming, laughing, loving people, and showing up for your life without knowing exactly what tomorrow will hold. There have been moments when I wished this wasnโ€™t part of my story. But looking back, I can also see how much it has shaped the way I see life. It has made me more grateful for ordinary days, more aware of what other people may be carrying silently, and more appreciative of every opportunity I get to do what I love. Most importantly, Iโ€™ve learned that having epilepsy does not make me any less capable, strong, or myself. Iโ€™m still learning. Iโ€™m still growing. And Iโ€™m still trusting God with the parts of my story that I donโ€™t always understand. So this month, Iโ€™m sharing a piece of mine in hopes that someone else feels a little less alone โ€” and as a reminder to be kind. You truly never know what someone is fighting behind the scenes. ๐Ÿ’œ Epilepsy is a part of my story. It is not the definition of it. #NEAM2026 #wherecommunitysparkshope

The audacity of hurting someone, disrupting their peace, and then acting like nothing ever happened is something else. But maturity is realising that not everyone who hurts you deserves an explanation, a confrontation, or even access to you anymore. Sometimes, silence isnโ€™t weakness; itโ€™s simply the decision to stop expecting accountability from people who lack the emotional maturity to offer it. (level of audacity, reality check, relatable, emotional maturity, lack of accountability, toxic people, relationship lessons, self respect, emotional intelligence, healing journey, protecting your peace, human psychology, relationship advice, self worth, silent treatment, personal growth, life lessons, know your worth)
