It's been a rather eventful day today!
We went to Rotherham this morning to audition for a place in the junior dance ensemble for the upcoming pantomime at Rotherham Civic Theatre.
Emmeline's friend was auditioning too so they offered to give us a lift.
They're both good dancers but very young so we weren't expecting them to get in but thought it would be good experience for them.
We were a couple of minutes away from the theatre and as we were going around the roundabout a car came out of another junction and smacked into the back of our friends car. Our car spun around and it then smacked straight into the side of our car and then we spun again and he hit the front of our car.
I was in the front passenger seat and Emmeline was in the seat directly behind me. Baruch Hashem, Emmeline was completely unharmed but I was sitting where the car hit us so I've got a massive bruise on my shoulder and I'm very sore.
My friend who was sitting in the middle seat in the back and her husband who was driving were completely unharmed but their daughter has a mark on her face as her mother's crutch flew back, bounced off the seat and then hit the side of her face.
The other driver was on his own and he was unhurt too. We pulled off onto a side road and the police had seen it happen so came straight over.
We were just around the corner from the theatre and the girls still wanted to audition so once we'd established that everyone was ok, off we went.
They did really well but weren't chosen this year. One of the chaperones came over to speak to us afterwards and said that they'd asked the group our girls were in to go in to dance twice because the whole group were so good, they had trouble deciding who to pick.
I can't tell you how proud we both were that even after being in a car accident both girls were still determined to go and audition anyway.
Unfortunately, my friend's car is a write off so we all had to get the tram back to Sheffield afterwards.
When we got off by the cathedral we had a look at some of the lions that have been installed there for the pride of Yorkshire trail.
We loved this one which features portraits of Jessica Ennis-Hill.
