Our Rey-girl lost her short battle with cancer tonight, surrounded in love by the four of us. We are so sad because Rey was the light of our house - the sweetest, most loving, snuggly and loyal dog who’s been with us since she was a puppy. She was Pete’s shadow, the mayor of our street known to chill on the patio of our neighbors her “Funcle” Troy & Aunty Michele, and our extended family’s favorite pet. She loved to fish on the open river with Pete, would swim for hours, turn fetch into more exercise for you than her, fiber up on paper towels and inhale treats, “help” with yard work, play with us in the rain and snow, hold court in the front yard while Pete worked out, and unsuccessfully try to befriend the cats. It is almost a year since we lost Jet 🐈‍⬛ to lung cancer so this is hitting us really hard. RIL Rey (3/2/17-6/8/26) 💜🐾
