and just like that we’re DONE HIGH SCHOOL!
Wow. This really doesn’t feel real.
These past four years have been full of ups and downs, lessons, memories, challenges, and growth. There were times when I felt overwhelmed, times when I doubted myself, and times when I wasn’t sure how everything would work out. But through it all, I kept going, and today I can proudly say that I made it.
I want to thank all of my teachers who took the time to encourage me, guide me, and push me to be the best version of myself. Your support never went unnoticed.
A special thank you to my coaches - Ms. Marry, Vaughn Devaughn, Raynard Bennett, and Lutalo Bakari. Thank y’all for believing in me, pushing me beyond my limits, holding me accountable, and always wanting the best for me. Y’all didn’t just help me become a better athlete, y’all helped me become a better young man. The lessons you’ve taught me will stay with me for the rest of my life.
To my Ralph Durant Academy family, thank you for always being in my corner. Thank you for the love, support, guidance, and encouragement throughout my journey. Having people who genuinely believed in me made all the difference.
And a very special thank you to Coach Cinayyah. Thank you for always checking in on me, supporting me, encouraging me, and believing in me throughout my journey. Your impact on my life goes far beyond words, and I’m truly grateful for everything you’ve done for me.
And lastly, I want to acknowledge my godfather, Samuel Brown. Although you’re not here physically to see this moment, I carry your lessons, your guidance, and your love with me every day. There are so many times I wished I could call you and tell you about this accomplishment. I hope I’m making you proud.
I love you always 🫶🏼
This diploma means more to me than most people know. It represents every sacrifice, every setback, every early morning, every late night, every obstacle, and every moment I chose to keep pushing forward when things got tough. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m grateful for everyone who helped me get here. This chapter is over, but the story is far from finished.
