A flurry, a haze
29 x 30cm
Oil and studio floor debris on board
The second painting that I knew instantly was going in my degree show. This is the painting that opened my eyes to a new outlook. My work is so heavily reliant on intuition that I would dismiss the control, concept and process that I always have whilst I paint. For this piece I took everything I had collected, such as imagery and application to bring together an object, a thing, a place. This piece happened in one sitting, a thoughtful and productive session which opened up a new avenue to explore.
A flurry, a haze. That’s what it was in the studio and what it is now.
