I will be showing this work @rhodescontemporaryart in a duo show As We Read alongside @lilydizzyfoshizy opening tomorrow night!

During making these works for the show, I was really trying to listen to what the work wanted in terms of how far to push it, but also learning to resist the urge to overwork something that didn’t need to be worked on for longer. There is a push and pull in all of the works I have on show, demonstrating when I resisted but also when I listened and knew that it needed more and had to be taken further (which happened more so). ‘Glitchy’ was one of those that needed to be pushed, got lost for a while, nearly obliterated, but re emerged into something I felt no longer needed to be worked on, which is how most of my work is made.

I cannot wait to show these new works and I’m excited/nervous for them to be seen by other eyes outside of the studio!

The show opens tomorrow night, 11th June, 6-8pm. All welcome!
