UPDATED REVIEW: I didn't think my last one did it justice🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars
"I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have... the wait was worth it."
After the messy ending of a Court of Mist and Fury, Feyre has been forced to return to the Spring Court while her family and her sisters return to the Night Court. The last time she was here Tamlin locked her up and she had to relive the feeling of under the mountain. Tamlin had caused her to feel completely helpless and like a caged animal. Feyre uses that bad memory to drive her to take on the most difficult task of being a double agent for the Night Court and the innocent girl that Tamlin fell in love with. After Tamlin had the King of Hybern destroy the bond between Rhysand and Feyre, Tamlin thinks he saved her. However, what he doesn't realize is that Rhysand and Feyre's bond goes deeper and what he actually had done was let a fox into the coop. There are a lot of scores to settle which includes Tamlin selling out Nesta and Elain to the King of Hybern.
Meanwhile, Rhysand, Cassian, Azriel, Mor and Amren are on their toes waiting for Feyre to return. When will that be? How long with that take? No one can say. As the threat of the wall coming down reaches its peak, who will the night court trust? How will Feyre "forgive" Tamlin for this wrong? What will she discover about the King of Hyberns plan? Will she return home alive? Will the group be able to figure out how to stop Hybern?
This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire read. I loved that Feyre was a double agent and pretended so well that she was the naive girl that Tamlin had always thought she was. Rhysand has had my heart since the last book and he will forever have a piece of it. The way he loves and trusts Feyre to make her own choices just makes me swoon.
