After an incredible two season run, I’m ( coach smith ) moving on from my role as assistant coach at the Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to coach this group of young women – their energy, growth, and heart made every practice and game special. Coaching here pushed me to be better, and I’ll carry those lessons with me.
Thank you to the players, families, and staff for the trust and support. Keep rising, keep leading, keep showing the world what you’re made of. _“Like a phoenix, you come from the ashes stronger and ready to take flight.”_

We will never forget everything you did for Savannah 🙏❤️ You put my nerves at ease knowing you were there as she was recovering from ACL surgery and knowing you put her health first! She has learned so much from you, we will miss having you at TYWLS but this is far from a goodbye as she will definitely still be around for tournaments and any other opportunities you have for her. THANK YOU ALEX, You are a rare gem when it comes to Coaches and we were lucky to come across you at the very beginning of her playing. ❤️🏀
