Meet Kathy Courtright, the woman helping lead this beloved Lafayette gem, where neighbors come not just for beautiful plants, but for expert guidance tailored to local growing conditions, hard-to-find varieties, seasonal workshops, a legendary Christmas store, and a team that genuinely wants every garden to thrive.
In a world of big-box stores, Orchard Nursery continues to grow something different: community. 🌼 Celebrating 80 years of a woman-run business helping the East Bay bloom, one garden at a time.

Thank you at Orchard Nursery for giving me my first job back in 2016! My customers and I are always talking about how much we love Orchard. I wouldn't be where I am in life without what I learned there ♡ -Alyssa

🌸 🌺🌼 I am soo grateful to have been purchasing gorgeous plants for my clients, from Orchard Nursery, for over 30 years! Client’s can’t believe that I actually bring them to the nursery to preview and select plants for their garden- it’s a favorite and much anticipated event in their landscape process. Thank you, Orchard Nursery for being the best! 🙏🏽💕

I left CA in 2021. Orchard Nursery is one of only a handful of places I miss. Used to LOVE to walk the Lafayette Reservoir, grab a coffee and just walk around the nursery & Lazy K. I have pillows I purchased from y’all and when I put them out I always think of the nursery. And Xmas time of course. 🥰
