Rez de Ville is an ever-expanding collaborative research project that questions how we design, experience, and represent the city. Rather than prioritizing a top-down approach, the research examines the lived realities of urban environments by documenting informal and temporary interventions, revealing how cities are inhabited and continuously reshaped. The project features sites from around the world, including several in Beirut, such as the unique vertical composition of the St. Nicholas Stairs, Hamra's modernist commercial complexes, and the informal linear agglomeration along the Beirut–Tripoli highway (the Autostrade).
