A little teaser of my new site-specific composition “Tree of Life”, for flute, tenor saxophone, and violin, which will be premiered at the Mutual Aid Forum: Community Food Resilience & Local Currency on August 16, at The REED Center for Ecosystem Reintegration. To be performed with choreography, moving through an emerging food forest, and culinary art made from native plants, along with interdisciplinary improvisation and participation of the audience.
This project is for the purpose of gathering the people to look at how we can collectively create an integrated food system for the region, with the security of our basic needs being met through shared resources and skills in an exchange of time.
Presented by Common Ton Collective, as part of an Arts In Agriculture collaborative retreat.
