Back in Black😎🖤

This analysis highlights a profound paradox within the modern pharmaceutical landscape. The contrast between Sir Frederick Banting’s decision to sell the insulin patent for $1 in 1923—prioritizing human life over profit—and the current reality of exorbitant costs and insurance barriers is a damning indictment of our healthcare system. When life-saving medication becomes a financial liability that families cannot afford, it raises urgent questions about medical ethics, market regulations, and the fundamental right to health. This is a critical call for policymakers and industry leaders to address systemic inequities before more lives are put at risk.

Happy Halloween from little orphan Annie and her dog, Sandy! 🎃

Ruby has been enjoying watching school plays of Annie for the past year so when her day program was having a costume party, I knew she’d love to go as Annie. She says she’s too old to go trick or treating tonight but she might help hand out candy. 😂
