One year and two months 💔

Three weeks ago, I stood in the mountains of Montana, honoring my dad in a place that was always special to him.

I miss him every day. Grief changes, but love doesn’t.

A lot of people have asked about my Montana trip, so here’s a little story... part of honoring my daddy was to hike his favorite places. So we decided to hike Avalanche Lake—one of my daddy’s favorite hikes.

We were in grizzly country, but somehow I knew Daddy would keep us safe. 🥹🫶

As we reached the lake, I remember thinking it couldn’t possibly get any more beautiful.
Then I noticed what I thought were loons—my dad’s favorite birds.
But when I looked closer, I realized they weren’t loons at all

Can you guess 😭

Standing there, at one of my daddy’s favorite places, watching buffleheads swimming across Avalanche Lake, it didn’t feel like a coincidence.

It felt like a gift from him. 🫶
