Coming to Costa Rica, my expectations were to make an impact on the kids at HOPE and to serve wholeheartedly. When given the opportunity to serve in Costa Rica, I never would have imagined the lengths of what the Lord had prepared for me in Pavas. He had called me here for a way higher purpose than I could have ever imagined or HOPED.
I met a girl who changed my perspective on how I will love, treat others, and pursue God for the rest of my life. And that’s a testament I want to promise to myself in honor of our Savior and the little girl who changed my life.
You never fully know what God can do with a simple “yes,” and that’s something I pray I will live by forever after this experience.
This week in Costa Rica, God brought me closer with people in my church who I now get to lean on, He allowed me to share my testimony boldly, and He allowed me to meet the most intentional HOPE staff, mentors, and translators who played a huge role in what God did through me this week!!!! (And that’s just a few examples of the never-ending blessings He gave this week!!) I never would have imagined serving, painting, sanding could be SO much fun, but everyone showed me the pure joy in doing good works for the Lord & the love of others!!

I never knew my heart could be filled with so much joy & curiosity about what God’s gonna do next…. but I do know that this week it began with God & HOPE, and I can’t wait to live more intentionally, and bring the HOPE in Pavas to FL!! 🇨🇷🏝️
