This piece explores the paradox that prosperity, victory, and transformation often come at the cost of the self. The emerald and gold egg symbolizes fortune, health, beauty, and abundance. Yet beneath its peaceful smile lies another meditation, according to Nietzsche, he who fights with monsters should take care lest he thereby become a monster. While creating this work, I imagined the egg as the final stage before a human completes their metamorphosis into a dragon. In defeating dragons, they gradually become the very thing they once aimed to topple. The smiling face reflects acceptance rather than triumph, suggesting that every conquest reshapes the conqueror. Whether this transformation is a blessing, a curse, or simply the inevitable cost of ambition is up to us
