SWISSMAN 2026 recap…
What an experience ❤️🔥
In a few numbers, SWISSMAN is not just an Ironman-distance race. It’s 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km on the bike, a full marathon, 226 km from south to central Switzerland, and more than 5,500 m of elevation gain across three Alpine passes 🏔️. A real xtreme triathlon.
The day started with a very fast swim alongside
@patrikaericsson . Having someone with me from the very beginning made it even more special. First out of the water, a small victory for me 🥇
Then we pushed each other for more than half of the bike course, and honestly, that was a lot of fun 🚀. I dropped the bike in second position, feeling strong and fully in the race.
Then came the run. Hot. Really hot. 🥵
I struggled to manage the heat and I’m not fully happy with my marathon, but that’s also part of the game. We learn, we adapt, and we come back stronger.
17th position overall in the end. 🏆
Still proud to take the start and finish this race for the second time.
Thank you to my family and friends, without them, this race would not have been possible.
A big, big, big thank you to all of them. ❤️
And thanks to
@olchiflo for the images 📸
Maybe see you next year for a better run.
I still have some unfinished business with this race. 🫶🏼
