Monday was a phenomenal battle between New Orleans own DaBest JRock and Elm Boy Peg. Toe to toe and blow for blow, these artist stood tall and confidently in their greatest and glory delivering hits both new and old. Their crowd control, improvisational creativity, dedication to their craft, rhythm, and soul came across as they both declared themselves as supreme representatives of New Orleans bounce. This battle was joyous, delightful, and DEEPLY necessary. As a lover of bounce music for as long as I can remember, attending this event was magical alchemy. Our bodies and spirits were freed of stagnation as we all sang and danced with our beloved MC’s.
10/10 recommend and I look forward to attending more battles. Excellent performance ✨
