Two men who targeted South Asian families’ homes in Ruislip, Harrow and Barnet have been jailed at Isleworth Crown Court, the Met announced on Tuesday 3 November. Detectives say they believed the homes would hold high-value jewellery. A £7,000 Rolex, gold earrings worth £1,500 and an antique gold and diamond ring worth £1,200 were among the items taken. They covered their faces inside, but CCTV, forensics, phone data and Oyster card records placed them at every burglary. One even topped up his Oyster at Ruislip station with his own debit card. Oresti Saliaj, 40, of Wembley Park, was jailed for three years and six months, and Clirim Ferizi, 26, of Harrow, for two years. In a separate case, Hetaj Dionis, 35, and Arben Cuka, 31, of Ealing, were jailed for five years between them after a run of burglaries targeting South Asian households in Hayes over eight days. Police found one of them on a roof in Ealing with a crowbar. Did you know your Oyster history could be used like this? 👇 Send this to your family group chat 🙏 📍 Ruislip, Harrow & Hayes 🗓️ Tue 3 Nov 🎥 Footage: Metropolitan Police 📲 Got footage? The same thing that makes ibuprofen and other NSAIDs work on pain also lowers the protection on your stomach lining... On a recent Ask Me Anything episode, a listener asked me, “How bad is ibuprofen really?” I hear it all the time in my telehealth practice, usually from someone who wants to know if one or two for a headache or cramps is okay. Here’s what’s happening... Ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin are NSAIDs, and they work by blocking enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) that make prostaglandins. Prostaglandins drive inflammation, swelling, and pain, which is why blocking them helps. But they also protect your stomach lining, reduce excess stomach acid, stimulate gut-protective mucus, and support your kidneys and blood flow to your liver. So when we block them, we’re not only turning down pain. We’re turning down the things that protect your gut. The more you take and the more often you take it, the more likely you are to run into issues. But I don’t want you to be afraid of it! If one ibuprofen a month is what gets you through a day of bad cramps, or a headache is keeping you from sleep, the benefit can outweigh the risk. Use the lowest dose that works, as infrequently as you can, and if you take it regularly, check in with your doctor. If you reach for it often, it’s worth trying natural options like curcumin, boswellia, white willow bark, and magnesium, and asking what’s behind the pain in the first place. Comment PAIN and I’ll send you the article, plus my other resources. ❤️❤️ Have you ever swapped ibuprofen for something else? Tell me below what’s worked for you! #artofbeingwell #selfhealers #guthealth #inflammation #naturalremedies

Javits Frimpong’s Mother Reportedly Arrives in New York Doris Adu Gyamfi, the mother of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, has reportedly arrived in New York to be with her family after her son was fatally shot on his way to school in the Bronx. Before leaving Ghana, she thanked those who had prayed for and supported her family. Speaking through a translator, she made one request clear. “I want justice for my son. That’s all.” She also shared that Javits had hoped to become a doctor. Javits moved from Ghana to New York about a year ago to live with his father. He was shot near Crotona Park on October 29 while walking to school. As of Wednesday morning, police had yet to announce an arrest. Pinkwall sends condolences to Javits’s family as they grieve and wait for answers.
