What is hard landscaping?
Hard landscaping refers to the structural and built elements of an outdoor space. These are the permanent features that shape how the space functions and flows. It creates the layout, usability, and long-term durability of the space.
• Patios & paving
• Driveways
• Walls & brickwork
• Steps & pathways
• Fencing
• Drainage & groundworks
• Outdoor structures eg. water features, pergolas etc.
What is soft landscaping?
Soft landscaping focuses on the living and natural elements that bring a garden to life. Soft landscaping adds colour, texture, softness, and character to finish the space off beautifully. It can often include garden and plant maintenance.
-For us, hard landscaping is where our passion and expertise are strongest. We love transforming spaces from the ground up and building something that not only practical and aesthetic but also lasts for years. The hard landscaping stage is what completely changes how a space can be used.
But soft landscaping is still incredibly important!
A great outdoor space needs balance. Without planting and greenery, even the best-built garden can feel unfinished. Soft landscaping is what adds warmth, life, and personality to the final result.
While hard landscaping is our main focus, we still offer soft landscaping within our projects, including:
• Planting schemes
• Trees & shrubs
• Finishing touches that tie the whole design together
For us, it’s about creating complete outdoor spaces — with strong foundations and the right finishing details.
