Meet our fifth Inaugural Banyan Company artist!
We’re thrilled to welcome Madison McVey as Company artist for our inaugural Banyan Dance Festival.
Madison will join an extraordinary group of artists this August as they create and share new work during the very first Banyan Dance Festival.
A recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Madison earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Performance and continued to refine her artistry in modern and contemporary dance under the guidance of Roxanne Lyst, Leslie Kraus, Austin Hartel, and Gildas Lemonnier, while also deepening her ballet training with Glenn Edgerton, Brandye Lee, and Boyko Dossev.
Throughout her training, Madison has had the opportunity to work with acclaimed dancers and choreographers including Alfred Dove, Amadi “Baye” Washington and Sam “Asa” Pratt, Mora-Amina Parker, and Thang Dao. She has also been invited to participate in intensives and programs such as Explore and Create at Hubbard Street Dance Company, Jacob’s Pillow, BodyTraffic, and more.
🎟️ Tickets for the Banyan Gala and The Banyan Concert go on sale tonight at 8:00pm est.
