Do things that scare you. Noosa Bolt 5k - only 9x shorter than the distance I’m training for. Going into this race half my mind was in the β€œwhat am I doing thinking I can compete with some of Aussies best middle distance athletes?!” and the other side of my brain was saying β€œwhy would you not put yourself in it? What have you got to lose?” I haven’t raced a 5km on road since I was at high school. This distance scares me even more than a 50km. But that’s exactly why I did it. I wanted to prove to myself that I CAN DO things that terrify me. I had the best time racing in my hometown streets, with the best atmosphere and insane competition. Stoked to get 6th in this stacked field and run a sub 16.40. And take the new ALPHA FLY 4s for a quick spin. Now back to the trails. Thanks for the pics queen πŸ“ΈπŸ‘‘ @itsjaclee
