It's been quite a ride to say the least, the first ever stats I ever did was on a school playground lunch recess basketball game back in 1992 at Valencia Park Elementary school , thank you Mr Johnson (my 2nd grade teacher) that allowed me to do that on a cool school day. It opened the door and my interest in doing stats and of course my love of the game of basketball which I was already starting to play a lot of when I was 6 years old. From there and going to many baseball games as a youth and keeping score and doing many other events. Did them as a hobby or even when playing keeping stats in my head but then life happened and regulars jobs but got a resurge came when I got hired on for the San Diego Padres organization and was able to be there for 10 seasons / 10years and work so many events (1,036 to be exact events) and now over the last 7yrs and 967 events done I reached 2,000 career games! Thank you to all those that gave me opportunities to work these events , I don't get to this milestone number without all you believing in me and letting me work these great events. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Here's the clip of me reaching 2,000 and the interview by @matteosandiego and @sonsofmontezuma at the 2026 Swish Pro-Am where I happened to reach the 2K benchmark.. where does it end? Nobody knows next up 3,000! Let's keep it going!
Note : how fitting that my 1st stats game/event was in Southeast San Diego and 2,000 was done not too far from that location, full circle moment.
