R.I.P. JUAN ATKINS šŸ–¤ I can hardly believe this heartbreaking news. We have lost one of the true visionaries and founding fathers of electronic music. A pioneer who didnā€™t just create music but helped shape its future. With Cybotron, Model 500 and his legendary Metroplex label, Juan laid the foundations of what we know today as techno. His vision inspired generations and helped build a musical bridge between Detroit and Berlin, with Tresor becoming such an important part of that connection. Detroit always had a special place in my heart, and at our Omen club in Frankfurt, we always had our doors open to the Detroit pioneers and their extraordinary sound. That musical exchange was such an important part of our culture. Juan and I crossed paths many times over the decades, always with mutual respect, joy and a shared passion for music. His records have accompanied and inspired me since the early days. They remain part of my musical journey, and it meant a lot to me to include his music on my What I Used to Play compilation. Juan was truly ahead of his time. His unique fusion of futuristic sounds, soul, funk and electronic machines opened doors to an entirely new musical universe. My heart goes out to his family, loved ones, friends and fellow artists during this painful time. Dear Juan, your music, your vision and your spirit will live on. On our turntables, on our dancefloors and in our hearts. Thank you for opening the doors to the future. Rest in peace, dear Juan. With love, Sven

Say ā€œFOODā€ to start preparing your family TODAY! Whenever I see headlines of the grid going downā€¦no fiber in my body is bothered. Why? Because I have exactly what I need and regularly check-in on my food storage and preparedness. I rotate through my food storage regularly. I make sure I have supplies in accessible areas (flashlights, lamps, matches, blankets, etc) I heard people are stocking up again. And you know what happens when uncertainty turns into panic? Grocery store shelves empty FAST. We watched it happen just a few years ago. I donā€™t know about you, but I have ZERO interest in depending on grocery stores or the government to feed me during an emergency. No thank you!! The Pentagon announced it is preparing for major infrastructure disruptions, and countries around the world are encouraging people to have emergency supplies. We are only a few years from 2030 after all, so who knows what is coming down the pipesā€¦ And letā€™s not pretend things couldnā€™t change overnight. Rising prices, supply shortages, grid failures, and increasing dependence on centralized systems. The less prepared you are, the fewer choices you have. Thatā€™s why I believe EVERY family should have food storage and an emergency plan. Stock your pantry with things your family actually eats. Have a backup plan for when things donā€™t go according to plan. Because when everyone else is scrambling, I plan to be home, unbothered, with a stocked pantry. Seriously I will NEVER forget going to the store during the 2020 craze and the dystopian feeling of the empty shelves, freezers, and fridgesā€¦ He who controls the food, controls the people ya know? Things are getting interestingā€¦ Say ā€œFOODā€ to start preparing your family now! #homesteadlife #homesteadinglife
