The incident occurred on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Tungan-Bako village, Pandogari, Rafi Local Government Area of the state. The victims were reportedly working on their teacher’s farm when armed men invaded the area and whisked them away. Confirming the incident on Monday, November 2, the spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, clarified that 14 students were abd¥cted, correcting earlier reports that claimed 50 pupils were missing. Abiodun disclosed that security operatives had commenced a joint rescue operation to secure the victims. He said the police received a report that suspected b&ndits invaded the village around 12:30 p.m. and abducted people working on a farm. According to him, preliminary information indicated that the victims were about 14 students of an Islamiya school who had accompanied their Mallam to harvest maize. He added that joint security rescue efforts were ongoing and further developments would be communicated to the public.

Hello, November. I welcome you with open arms and an expectant heart, believing that you come carrying blessings meant for me. May you bring peace that settles deep, joy that overflows, and favor that follows me through every door I walk through. May the days ahead be kind, the opportunities plenty, and the grace upon my life unmistakable. But more than anything, November, I receive you with gratitude. I am grateful to God for bringing me, and all of us, this far. For the months behind us that held both laughter and tears, for the strength that carried us through, and for the mercy that met us every morning. Every breath that brought us to this month is a gift we did not earn but were freely given. So hello, November. Thank you for arriving. Let’s walk together….blessed, grateful, and full of hope. 🙏🏼
