There couldn’t be a more meaningful way to begin this new year than by launching something God has been stirring in my heart for a long time
#DiaryofaPastorsDaughter
This podcast is an invitation into honest conversations about what it really means to grow up as a pastor’s child: the beauty, the blessings, the pressures, the expectations, the challenges, and sometimes, the judgments that come with it.
For years, I’ve carried these stories quietly. It has taken courage, healing, and God’s grace to arrive at a place where I can speak about them openly. Not from a place of hurt or resentment, but from a place of maturity, gratitude, and a desire to see the Body of Christ grow.
These conversations are not meant to criticize the Church, pastors, or people. They are meant to share lessons. My hope is that by opening up about my experiences and how I have navigated them, others will find wisdom, encouragement, healing, and perspective.
While many have walked away from their faith because of the pressures associated with being a pastor’s child, my story is one of learning how to hold on to Christ through it all. It hasn’t always been easy, but God’s grace has been sufficient. My prayer is that these conversations remind us that our faith must ultimately be rooted in Jesus, even when people disappoint us.
I also hope this podcast creates greater understanding between pastors’ families and the church community. May it foster empathy instead of assumptions, unity instead of division, and conversations that build rather than tear down.
The first episode is officially out today on youtube, and I couldn’t think of a better birthday gift than for you to watch, share it with someone, and join me on this journey.
Here’s to honest conversations, deeper faith, and lives that continually point back to Jesus.
