I kinda forgot to post on my actual birthday, but I’m 30 now. And as of November 1st, I’ve officially lived in LA for ten years. A third of my life has been spent in this place, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything (not even $100)

I’ve been so damn lucky over this last decade. So lucky to do the things I’ve done, to create the things I’ve been able to make, and to have the incredible friends I’ve gotten to have. Looking back through my phone for all these pics has reminded me that I’ve really done quite a lot over the last ten years :’) and I’ve gotten to do it all with people I love immensely. (this also reminds me to take more photos with said people I love)

Here’s to 30. Here’s to making more cool, weird shit. Here’s to all the people I love, who have for some reason stuck by me all this time. To quote every hometown rapper, “There’s big things coming.”

Thanks for 10 years, Los Angeles ❤️

Εσείς, τι κοιτάτε πρώτα σε ένα αυτοκίνητο;

Portable DVD players were a huge part of entertainment during the 2000s, especially before smartphones and streaming services became popular. These compact devices featured built-in screens, rechargeable batteries, and disc drives that allowed people to watch their favorite movies almost anywhere. They were especially popular during road trips, long flights, and family vacations, when bringing a collection of DVDs was one of the easiest ways to stay entertained.

Unlike today’s streaming platforms, watching movies back then meant physically owning or renting DVDs, carefully handling discs to avoid scratches, and sometimes sitting through menus before the movie started. Many portable players even supported CDs and MP3s, making them useful for music as well. Although modern technology has largely replaced them, finding one at a yard sale can bring back memories of an era when watching a movie on a tiny screen felt like having your own personal theater.
