Some shots from my first 2018 trip to Yanji, China with Aram Pan (@dprk360). Yanji is also the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.

Yanji is about 30 minutes from Longjing City (용정시) where my father was born in 1939 during the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945). Longjing is also the birthplace of Yun Dongju (윤동주).

This trip was a year after Trump’s travel ban to North Korea so while Aram was in North Korea, I took a trip to Changbaishan (Paekdusan / 백두산) instead.
