I use grip tape and trace the outline of the bindings and it not only protects your top sheet but more importantly it prevents the bindings from loosing up because the grip tape does not let the binding do any motor twisting that causes the binding screw to loosen, down fall you have grip tape permanently attached so get the stance width and angles correct.
