It happens, and I actually never take it personally. I learned from it.

Of course I'm disappointed, but one of the things you have to accept with this job is that you're not going to get every deal or every client. You brush yourself off and try again.

The other day I'm going through my address book and sending texts and checking in with people. One person tells me they sold the house to a family member. One says they bought a house with another agent. Another I found was actively under contract in the MLS.

Here is the silver lining: I look at my follow up plan. If I did everything I could then how can I possibly be offended? If I did miss something, now I learned for next time. At least I know I'm good at identifying who is likely to do business next.

I can still drop the F 💣 in the moment.
