One thing we’ve learned since bringing bees to the ranch is that the saying “busy as a bee” couldn’t be more accurate. 🐝🌾

Honey bees are incredibly organized. Every bee in the hive has a job from cleaning and caring for the young, to guarding the entrance, building comb and foraging for nectar and pollen. A single colony can contain tens of thousands of bees, all working together to support the health and growth of the hive.

It’s been amazing to sit back and watch them leave at sunrise and return throughout the day loaded with pollen. They communicate through movement, work nonstop and play a vital role in pollinating many of the crops and plants we rely on every day.

What has amazed us the most is how quickly a healthy hive can grow. Our bees have been so active and productive that we’re already having to expand their space. Watching these tiny creatures work together with such purpose has given us a whole new appreciation for the important role they play in our ecosystem.

We’re excited to keep learning and grateful to have a front row seat to one of nature’s hardest working communities. 🍯🐝
