Well, we all start somewhere.
You will see the evolution through the slides of this post
I started on November 29, 2024, completely by accident, at a friend’s birthday party. She had rented a bar for the occasion, but the DJ cancelled on her at the last minute. In just an hour and a half, I had to find a set of decks, cables, and put together an entire playlist, all while having never touched DJ equipment before. Still, I had spent hundreds of hours on the other side of the booth, as part of the crowd.
Whether it was at massive events featuring international artists and thousands of people (especially during the summer of 2023), or at smaller gatherings with friends where some of my buddies were mixing, I was always curious about what it felt like to be the one driving the night.
Then I found myself on the other side of the decks, driven by my growing love for house music. Funny enough, I never expected the EDM I was obsessed with when I was younger to eventually turn into a passion for house. But just as important was the joy of seeing people have a great time.
From commercial hits and Y2K classics to house and tech-house, what matters most to me is making sure the people around me are enjoying themselves.
We all start somewhere. I started between that memorable bar and the legendary basement of my student residence in Paris. Today, I’m still growing, thanks to the kindness of the people around me and the opportunities that come my way, whether through friends like Pongo Wjaber and Babamarc or through music collectives.
Honestly, if it all had to stop tomorrow because it just didn’t work out, I wouldn’t be mad. I did it for the love of the game, and that’s exactly how it’s going to stay.
