Shreya • Starting over at 30

Six months ago, I introduced myself as:

30. Single. Unemployed.

Back then, I thought six months would be enough to change my life.

I had just moved back to India after leaving my job in Berlin. I had walked away from a long relationship. I was starting over with nothing but hope.

I imagined I’d come back here with the perfect “after” story.

A new job.
A new relationship.
A completely different life.

Instead… six months later, I’m still 30. Still single. Still unemployed.

And strangely, that’s okay.

Because somewhere between job applications, heartbreak, family dinners, solo coffee dates, two dozen first dates, twenty movies, creating this little community, and learning to choose myself every single day…

I changed.

On paper, my life may not look very different.

But I do.

If you’re in a season where it feels like everyone else is moving ahead while you’re standing still, I hope this reminds you that growth isn’t always visible.

Sometimes, the biggest transformation is the one no one else can see.
