Some of the heaviest burdens we carry aren't visible.

They're called resentment. Bitterness. Unforgiveness.

We often think forgiving someone means they "got away with it." But forgiveness isn't about setting them free from accountability—it's about setting yourself free from the weight of what they did.

When we hold on to pain, our minds, bodies, and relationships often carry the cost.

Forgiveness doesn't erase what happened. It doesn't mean trust must be restored overnight. And it certainly doesn't mean staying where you're being harmed.

It simply means you are choosing healing over bitterness and peace over poison.

The question is: What are you still carrying that God is asking you to release?

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Have you ever experienced the freedom that comes with forgiveness, or is this a journey you're still on? Share respectfully in the comments. Your story may help someone else heal.
