A hacker isn't defined by the OS they use. They're defined by their curiosity, knowledge, problem-solving ability, and ethical practice.
It just gives you a powerful operating system.
What actually builds hacking skills?
1. Build Strong Foundations: Learn computer fundamentals, operating systems, networking, and Linux to understand how systems work.
2. Learn Programming: Master Python, C, JavaScript, SQL, and Bash to automate tasks, analyze software, and understand vulnerabilities.
3. Understand Cybersecurity: Study authentication, encryption, secure coding, common attack vectors, and the OWASP Top 10 to build core security knowledge.
4. Practice Hands-on: Set up a home lab, solve CTFs, explore vulnerable machines, and gain practical experience through legal security challenges.
5. Build & Research: Create security tools and automation projects while regularly reading documentation, CVEs, RFCs, and security research.
6. Stay Ethical & Consistent: Engage with the cybersecurity community, keep learning, share knowledge, and always use your skills responsibly and ethically.
