BREAKING: More than 1.800 points are wiped off the Dow as Wall Street reels from a massive technology sell-off following Democrats’ midterm election sweep. The Nasdaq sank 5.52% into correction territory, while Nvidia sank 9% and Tesla tumbled more than 10%. The sharp downturn comes one day after markets rallied following the election, as investors weigh concerns that tougher Democratic policies on AI and data center development could disrupt the industry’s growth.
AI teachers really out here confidently making it worse 😭 A student asked an AI-powered tutor how to spell “seventeen” and got hit with S-E-V-E-E-N instead. When the student corrected it with the right spelling, the AI doubled down and told them they were wrong. The AI couldn’t even count the Es correctly (there are four, not five). The clip went viral with 12.9 million views because nothing says “educational technology” like a bot having a spelling meltdown on a fake Zoom call. #AI #EdTech #Fail
“I’ve stopped believing that I need anyone else’s permission to pursue the life I want,” declares Liza Soberano. After more than a decade in an industry that often came with its own expectations of who she should be, Soberano is learning to take greater ownership of her career and personal future. She speaks candidly about the traditional entertainment business model, particularly in parts of Asia, where artists can grow up believing they have little agency over their own careers or even their personal lives. For her, the decision to pursue opportunities beyond the Philippines was also a decision to discover what she could become outside the roles and identities that had defined her early years. It meant accepting uncertainty, making choices that might not immediately make sense to others and learning to trust her own instincts. “I’ve stopped trying to prove that I can fit into someone else’s idea of who I should be,” she says. In our double-cover November issue, Soberano reflects on the freedom of reinvention and the importance of building a life that feels true to oneself. 📍Peninsula, Beverly Hills Editor-in-Chief: Anton San Diego (@antonsd) Words: Dowee Untivero (@doweeu) Photography: Of Becoming Us (ofbecomingus): Kim Tin (@thestreetsensei) and Alithea Castillo (@alitheacastillo) Styling: Stylized (@stylizedstudio) Jethro Barrietta (@jetrhobarrietta), Patrick Perez (@thepatrickperez), Beatrize Lagco (@beatrzee) Clothing: Robert Vilar Jewellery: Riqueza Jewellery Makeup: Mickey See (@mickeysee) Hair: Renz Pangilinan (@renzpangilinan) Nails: Sherry Hasegawa @sherry_nails_lcr Production (Los Angeles): Dowee Untivero Production (Manila): Johannah Reglos (@johannahreglos), Ysobel Zamora (@blzmr_), Mads Marquina (@maddiemarqs), Romney Ranjo (@romneyranjo) Lighting Director:Michael Camacho 2nd Phot Assistant: Mei Kobayashi 3rd Photo Assistant: Justine Sugay Grip: Mei Kobayashi, Justine Sugay Digitech: Jeremy Aquino Cam Op: Maurice Berbano Retoucher: Hiệp Hoàng Nguyễn 3D Artist: Huân Lei Location: @peninsulabeverlyhills In partnership with: Belo Medical Group #TatlerPhilippines #TatlerCover #LizaSoberano #BeloBeauty

Where are we heading as a country? Putting loopholes in the system isn't the same as fixing them! Don't know what will make people realise these regressive policies!
Thank you @hmmawards for honoring MICHAEL with three nominations.
