A Memorable Moment from 2005

On my far right is Mr. Rehmat Nabi Sahib—my former boss, a close friend, and the former President of the Tour Operators Association of Gilgit-Baltistan.

He is a senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker who contested elections from Raikot, Diamer, and is well known among the party's senior leadership.

Mr. Rehmat Nabi is the owner of Fairy Meadows Tours and the renowned Raikot Sarai, Fairy Meadows, Diamer, one of the world's most famous tourist destinations.

He has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of tourism in Pakistan, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan. His dedication and vision have helped showcase the region's breathtaking natural beauty to visitors from around the world.

On my left is Mr. Ashraf Aman Sahib, the first Pakistani to climb K2 (8,611 meters above sea level). On 15 December 1994, he invited me to join the Nanga Parbat (8,126 meters) South Face Winter Expedition, where he served as the Liaison Officer.

Mr. Ashraf Aman is widely regarded as a pioneer of adventure tourism in Pakistan, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan. He also played a significant role in bringing international organizations, including the EVK2CNR Italian Project, and several other development initiatives to Pakistan. His contributions to mountaineering, tourism, and regional development have left a lasting legacy.

Both Mr. Rehmat Nabi Sahib and Mr. Ashraf Aman Sahib are my teachers, mentors, and close friends. I have had the honor of learning from these two legends.

This photograph was taken in 2005 outside the Fairy Meadows Tours office, adjacent to Jamal Hotel Gilgit, almost opposite Park Hotel on Airport Road, Kashrote, Gilgit.

The Lady on the left is one of my Italian client Nostalgia.

I am honored to know these remarkable personalities and grateful for the guidance and inspiration they have given me throughout my journey.
