Just back from a really great weekend in Talinn (Estonia) where we organised the wines for a good friends 50th birthday party. It was great to meet up with Mikk Parre, best sommelier of Europe/Africa/Middle East in 2024, who poured and presented the wines. Life is too short…

another week down :) - moved up in weight on all my posterior chain movements this week!! this has been my main goal with my new split so I am happy. I am also putting more emphasis on bench again and am going to attempt to push for some new PRs. Squat is currently being maintained until my deadlift is a bit stronger. - My all time deadlift PR was 310lbs pre injury and that was pulled with frog stance sumo. I am hoping to surpass this PR with conventional. Pre injury I never emphasized training my posterior chain at all and trained deadlifts very loosely in comparison to squats, which was a massive contributing factor as to why I got injured. I used to despise deadlift and glute training. While I can’t say deadlift is my favorite lift now, I do genuinely look forward to every single workout including my deadlift days and am grateful to be able to lift at all.
