It’s my party and I’ll cry PRE-ORDER if I want to!
In this post-truth world you don’t need to know silly things like my book cover… or my age today… You just need to know my memoir-in-essays comes out March 16, 2027 and that pre-ordering would make the most wonderful and meaningful birthday present… ever. Not to mention help me eke out a tiny piece of joy in this hell week where America and Taylor Swift keep stealing all the attention. (Sorry, I’m a gay millennial. I still have a scarcity mindset.)
You can pre-order from my publisher
@uwiscpress or mostly wherever you like to get books. The most common links are on my website (which is in my bio or just michaelnarkunski.com). If you order particularly through
@booksoup though, I can make sure your book gets signed/personalized before it ships. Because I work there. And I will also more than likely be processing said order and emailing you your confirmation 🤓
I’ll also take this time to say thank you in advance. I’ll be posting more than usual over the next 8 months. It’s the way these things obviously work now. But I’m actually excited to do it. I’m proud of my book, and so many of you have been so important to its coming into being. The least I could do is take it and myself seriously and give it its best chance in this less-than-stellar queer publishing ecosystem.
So, that said, let’s kick off with some radical optimism:
Taylor and Travis 4ever.
America another 250 years.
And Macaroni Heart—New York Times Bestseller!
(Or a couple weeks on the Book Soup paperback non-fiction list—that’d be sweet.)
