Every gig teaches you something.

This was probably my biggest takeaway from playing Naughty Parrot at the weekend.

Yeap certain things stick with you… I always check the venue the day before, was burned once never again…. Also the unknown is the fun… adapt to the situation whether that’s the kit, the crowd, the venue, the occasion whatever it is… for that reason I just arrive and adapt. Keep enjoying it 👏🏾👏🏾

Today’s #GoogleDoodle honors the traditions, stories, and languages of Indigenous communities through the art form of beadwork. What has long been a form of cultural expression and identity has been carried into contemporary jewelry, sculpture, apparel, and mixed media by artists working today. Finger-woven bandoliers and sashes were common throughout the Southeast, but those made from red wool trade cloth and decorated with bead embroidery in geometric designs are most frequently associated with the Choctaw, Alabama, and Coushatta. The scroll designs on these distinctive shoulder sashes are often said to resemble those found on early southeastern pottery.
