The most beautiful day celebrating our baby girl is on her way💕👶

We feel so incredibly lucky to have such wonderful people around us, and of course my very special boy, Bear. 🐾❤️

Bear continues to open doors and make possible things I never imagined would be. There was a time when becoming a mum was something I’d completely written off. It felt impossible. Yet here we are, counting down the days until we meet our little lady.

Carrying myself was a step too far to consider because of my health, but sharing this journey with my incredible partner Naomi has been the most perfect way for her to be ours. The most magical journey of reciprocal ivf (or shared motherhood) means baby started as an egg in my tummy before moving into Naomi’s tummy, where she’s been lovingly grown. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect way!

It’s often the little moments that remind me just how extraordinary Bear truly is. One of the biggest was buying a baby sling. For most people it’s just another baby purchase, but for me it represented something so much more. Without Bear, my sudden, unpredictable faints would make wearing my baby in a sling far too risky. Knowing he’ll alert me before an episode means I can look forward to those precious cuddles with so much more confidence.

It’s hard to put into words just how much this incredible dog has changed my life—not just mine anymore, but our baby girls’ too.

Thank you, Bear, for giving me opportunities I never thought I’d have, and for helping make becoming a mummy possible. I truly can’t wait, and know baby girl and Bear will be the best of friends! And thank you to Medical Detection Dogs for making stories like ours possible. ❤️🐾
