4 months ago@blackellewoods You definitely caught that like we all did Em is definitely hating he will never be on Jay-Z level and P was correct as they are in the studio cooking! Good girl!!!
4 months agoI def think Pharrell wanted to clarify Em’s statement but that’s the Flatbush in me😂
4 months agoClarifying because it seems some of y’all are turning this into a GOAT debate and missing the point. lol Whether Jay-Z is the GOAT isn’t what I was discussing. In my second or third slide, I even said I understood why Eminem wouldn’t want to defer to one of his peers as the GOAT. My question was moreso whether that was the moment to make that distinction at all. At a concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of Blueprint , did it need to be said? And do you think Jay-Z or Pharrell clocked it as shade, or was Pharrell’s “the greatest of all time; it’s not a conversation” comment simply unrelated?
4 months agoMany ppl considered them the top 2, so Eminem spoke his truth. I never heard anyone say Pharrell was a top rapper. So Pharrell couldn’t say what Eminem said even if he wanted to. No disrespect to Jay Z, just Eminem’s truth.
4 months agoMj the greatest of all time! Everyone one else is one of the greatest of all times
4 months agoA peer can call a peer one of, I don’t think thats shade. Eminem considers Jay Z one of - not theeee. He is a fan of Rakim, LL, Nas etc. I dont think Jay Z is the goat either lol. And I dont think “one of” is shade, to where he has to opt to say nothing at all. Calling Jay one of the goats is a compliment coming from an arguably fellow goat lol. The Pharrell thing is interesting. Hmm. I wasnt there but that does seem like shade. But Pharrell is also a producer - and if Im Pharrell who got some of my biggest records via Jay Z - its not debatable lol. So not sure if he said that independently or not, but good catch on that one
4 months agoI agree with Em. Some say Jay is the GOAT. Some say Em is the GOAT. Some say Pac. Some say Drake. Some say Nas. There’s no undisputed IMO.
