"Feel your feelings" is quite vague. What does it actually mean?
Part of it is building tolerance to stay present with what's happening in your body, and getting curious about it instead of bracing against it.
"I'm anxious" is a conclusion. Underneath it there's usually something more specific: tightness in the chest, a breath that won't go all the way down, thoughts looping on the same few sentences.
When you describe it at that level, the experience shifts. It stops being who you are and becomes something happening in you, something you can watch.
Most of the time a trigger moves faster than awareness. Learning to slow down enough to notice it is a skill, and it builds with practice.
