The 2026 midterm elections have reshaped America’s political landscape. 🇺🇸

Democrats have taken control of the U.S. Senate and are projected to regain the House, ending Republican control of Congress. The victories mark a major political shift during President Trump’s second term, reflecting voter concerns about the economy, cost of living and the direction of the country.

The elections also brought historic milestones. Keisha Lance Bottoms won Georgia’s governorship, becoming the first Black woman elected governor in U.S. history, while Deb Haaland’s victory in New Mexico made her the first Native American woman elected governor.

What does this mean? Democrats will have greater power to shape legislation, influence federal spending, lead congressional committees, investigate government actions and oversee the Trump administration. They can also use their majorities to block or challenge Republican priorities and push their own agenda on healthcare, affordability, education and other issues.

The shift does not give Democrats unlimited power, but it gives them a stronger voice and an important check on the presidency. 🇺🇸

Could AI animation eventually challenge Pixar?

This AI-generated short follows a fearless platypus as it escapes crocodiles, outruns a wolf, leaps off a cliff, and ends up in a ridiculous high-speed motorcycle chase through the desert.

What stands out is the quality of the animation. The character expressions, detailed environments, camera movements, and action sequences look like something you'd expect from a big-budget animated movie.

And AI video generation is improving at an incredible pace. Scenes that once required teams of skilled animators and weeks of work are becoming easier and faster to produce with AI.

What do you think?

Glenwood Hoskin Jr., a 60-year-old retired tax officer from Pennsylvania, broke a Guinness World Record by watching 1,207 movies in cinemas over the course of one year, averaging 3.3 films per day at his local Regal Cinema in York Haven between April 2024 and April 2025. He smashed the previous record of 777 films by 430 screenings.

He also holds a second Guinness title for watching the same film 292 times in cinemas.
