Actor Dia Mirza has responded after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) removed her video appealing for a Diwali celebration without firecrackers and noise pollution. The video, shared as part of the civic bodyโ€™s festive awareness campaign, was taken down following objections from Mumbai BJP chief Ameet Satam. Similar appeals featuring other celebrities remained online, according to reports. Defending the message, Mirza said it was recorded to promote public awareness and encourage healthier, more mindful celebrations. She stressed that air pollution is a public health concern and that efforts to reduce it benefit everyone. The controversy has brought attention to the role of celebrity-led civic campaigns and the discussion around responsible festive celebrations. #DiaMirza #BMC #Mumbai #Diwali #AirPollution #PublicHealth #ResponsibleCelebrations #Environment #TheBharatPost
