they say little sisters look up to their big sisters, but the truth is i’ve spent my whole life looking up to you. your heart, your kindness, your smile, your strength… you’ve been my rock for longer than you’ll ever know.

i honestly don’t think i’d be who i am today without you. you’ve carried me through some of the hardest days of my life just by being you. you are my best friend, my biggest blessing, and the person i’ll spend my whole life protecting.

watching you grow up has been the most beautiful and hardest thing all at once. i miss the little girl in these pictures, but i’m so proud of the incredible young woman you’re becoming.

if i could ask for one thing, it’d be for time to slow down just a little. because no matter how many birthdays come and go, you’ll always be the little girl who made me a big sister.
