Some of you have spent years trying to find friendship in family members who have never made you feel emotionally safe.

And perhaps the hardest part to accept is that you’ve been confusing the obligation to maintain a relationship with the safety required to be vulnerable in one.

Being related doesn’t automatically make someone trustworthy. And loving your family doesn’t mean you have to keep giving them access to parts of your life they haven’t demonstrated the capacity to handle.

This isn’t about dishonoring family, encouraging division, or withholding love. It’s about recognizing that shared history does not guarantee emotional safety, and familiarity does not automatically produce friendship.

If you’re fortunate enough to have family members who are also your friends, cherish them. That’s a blessing.

But if you don’t, I hope you stop feeling guilty for acknowledging what the relationship actually is instead of grieving what you’ve always wanted it to be.

You can love people without continuing to hurt yourself trying to be close to them, friend. I hope this helps the people who need it most ❤️🫶🏾

#happymonday - here is what I was up to last week.
If you had half term- how was yours?

I spent a lot of mine up in the midlands visiting mum. It was a productive time of garage clearing (huge shout out to her tip- super kind guys and it is set out amazingly! Ample car parking spaces too and near to drop off points 👏)as well as cleaning and shopping.
There’s something satisfying about a clear out- isn’t there?
Happy new week ❤️

Would you go rummaging through bins for clothes? One person's rubbish really is another person's treasure…

Artist and designer Millie Diamond has been turning heads online after discovering bags of discarded clothes, including a Christopher Kane dress worth around £600 second-hand.

From designer outfits, to colourful suits, she's proving that you never know what you might find in the bin.

BREAKING: People Against Genocide break into Ultra I&C's Hertfordshire weapons facility and smash Israeli military satellites, on the 109th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

Ultra Intelligence & Communications (I&C) specialise in "AI missions" and "battlefield communications systems", syncing Israeli weapons with command centres.

The firm supplies Israeli weapons firm Elbit Systems, and supplies the Israeli military directly with satellites - the same ones destroyed today.

109 years ago today, Britain promised a "Jewish homeland" in Palestine, where the majority of the population were not Jewish.

The Balfour Declaration and ongoing British colonisation of Palestine led to the expulsion of more than half of the indigenous Palestinian population, village massacres and a further 78 years of ethnic cleansing, culminating in the current genocide in Gaza.

Today, crucial weapons and components needed to maintain the ongoing genocide and colonisation of Palestine, is made and exported from Britain.
